Colorado Springs, CO
Since the last few days have been rather stormy, finally got out this morning to take a short drive and check out a few day trips that we will be taking in the days to come. The above photo is Co. Sprgs as we came north on Hwy 115. Have posted a few pics as we drove west. Actually, just after we got back the sky opened back up and we received about 2" of rain in just over an 1 hr.

Nice pics! And we feel ya, these summer monsoon rains can be sudden and wild. Here in Sedona, we've seen sheets and sheets of water coming down this past month that can only be described as what it looks like on the backside of Niagara Falls. ... an unbelievable amount of water! But it sure makes everything GREEN. And just a reminder of how lucky you are, think of the folks stuck in Phoenix this August...we went there last night for a show and couldn't get over how stiflingly hot it was still at 11 pm at night ...don't know how they do it. Enjoy your higher (much cooler) elevation & the absolutely beautiful Rockies.
P.S. Chargers off to good start! woo-hoo ! :D
