We were sitting here trying to remember if we'd ever been up that high in elevation on any of the mountains we've driven up...and the only one we could think of that came close was Mauna Kea on the Big Island of Hawaii...and that one only peaks out at 13,796. And, when we reached the top of that summit, I was so queezy from altitude sickness that we had to hurry back down asap. LOL. It was quite embarrassing because we were on a group tour and I was THE sickest of everyone. Starting the day at sea level didn't help!
This peak you're at is like being at the top of Mount Rainer...!! because that one has a summit of 14,416...I believe..?...but we've never even been CLOSE to the top of that puppy! Wow, you guys were WAY UP THERE!
