We made the 3 1/2 hr trip from Sante Fe to Raton without any problem. Actually we are camped in Raton Pass (7875 ft elevation) for the month of July. Lots to do and see, so will be posting photo's as we get to some of the more interesting sights. Mountain lions and bears are frequent visitors in this part of the county so one must always be on the lookout for sure but, this is also one of the most beautiful parts of New Mexico. Our location is about 300 yds from the Colorado state line.
