Crescent Lake is bordered by very high mountain ranges and was formed from glaciers that were more prevalent a few thousand years ago.

One of the most beautiful lakes I have seen. Good shot. The anscestors of the salmon in that lake were trapped thousands of years ago by_____, land disturbances. They can't migrate.
