Silver city Blues Festival

As noted in last years photo's while in Silver City we again attended the annual Blues Festival last Sat. & Sun (free for all attendees)and had a great time. Attached a couple photo's while there.

A look from under the shaded patio area. The musical gazebo is straight ahead. Oh yea, the single lady sitting in front of the camera (wearing a hat) is my better half.

A different type of motorcycle, huh. I guess you could call this a three wheeler but in reverse.

Lots of motorcycles but thought this one was the most unique.

This guy was the guitarist for the band "Soul Kitchen" and was really talented in the way he played. Actually the entire band was very good.

Rose Valley RV Ranch

We are back at this park for an extended stay so thought a few updated photo's would be a good idea. We will be looking at some of the sites we missed the last time we were here and will posts those photo's as we get around.

At look at this place from a nearby hilltop. Sits off from the main highway and is a very quite location.

This RV park has some really cool wildflowers growing throughout all of the sites. The local inhabitants (rabbits - squirrels - gophers etc.) leave them alone so they flourish without much difficulty.

Greetings from Silver City, NM

Hello all,

Well we have left our winter home in Arizona (getting just a little too warm) and have arrived in Silver City, NM for an extended stay. You all may recall that we were last in this town in May '08. Those photos can be viewed by going back to this date and view the numerous pics taken of the places that we were able to visit.
Since we have put Silver City on the radar screen as one of the areas that we would consider as a permanent home (after we have given up the RV life) thought we would hang around here for a longer time and really check things out. Still lots of things to see that we never got to when last here and will certainly be posting those photo's as well.

As you may recall (or not) our very last photo (Sept '08) before heading back to Arizona was taken of a lake close to our campsite in Alto, NM (just outside of Ruidoso). In my comments I mentioned not being able to drive into the National Forest due to fire restrictions and flood damage. Just before we left we were finally able to make it to the top of Apache Mountain Ski Resort and really enjoyed the scenery. So, the above photo and the following will give an idea of the the high mountain countryside. Those beautiful trees of course are Aspens in their full fall colors.

Just click on the photo's for a full view.
